Introduction

This web-log is not about politics it is about a prophet. More to the point this web-log is about the lack of a prophet. One of the presuppositionsof of this writer is, that our nation is suffering from a lack of a national prophet. Jerry Falwell, Dr. D. James Kennedy, Adrian Rogers are all dead, and their silence was noticeable during the 2008 election. On November 5, 2008 I felt the prompting of the spirit of the God of the Bible to write about this topic. Here are the questions that I seek answers for, and will be answering on the subsequent posts of this web-log.

1. Who is the next prophet?
2. If a prophet existed during this election, why wasn't he seen in the media outlets?
3. Why weren't the existing "big name preachers" that have big congregations and big books sale numbers (i.e. Joel Osteen) speaking as a prophet in this election?
4. What is the biblical example of a prophet for the nation?
5. What is my, the writer, presuppositions about a nations prophet?
6. Who should I, the writer, interview on the subject?
7. Who were prophets in the past, and how did they rise to the status of a nation's prophet?

This is just a few of the topics I will be covering. The voices of the "Falwells" of the past are greatly missed. This was the first election since their death. I want to know why there is no one to take their place.
